Angel On Board

A look at life from the afterlife...
by EJ Thornton

A Spiritual uplifter unlike any I've ever read before!

Angel On Board was a page turner of positive energy from start to finish. Even when it brought tears to my eyes, those tears were followed by a smile. Though a complete work of fiction, I still feel as if this is a MUST READ book for everyone who has or will experience loss. It lightens your heart and gives you hope. I truly believe in the author's experiences which led her in her journey to write this literary masterpiece. No one (in my opinion) can write such a beautiful, emotional and heart tugging book without a divine hand of guidance.

I applaud E.J. Thornton for giving readers such hope in the form of this fun read. With the world of darkness that surrounds us in these troubled times, more beauty in books such as these are desperately needed.

A Widow's Story
Overcoming survivor's guilt

When the student is ready, the teacher will appear. That is the case with my friend and fellow-author Diana L. James, author of the "Bounce Back" series of books. A beautiful woman with an even more beautiful spirit.

I barely had Angel On Board ready to print for the second time when I met her at the church I attended in Boise, Idaho. Diana just moved to the area and just joined the same choir I was in.

She announced she was an author and sat down. Many of my friends tapped me on the shoulder and pointed to her, like 'she's the answer to your prayers!' And she was, but what I didn't know was that my book would answer hers too.

She graciously took a copy to read and review and the next time I saw her, she hugged and held me so tight and said, "Thank you so much!"

She proceeded to relate to me one scene in the book where the newly widowed Glory sits in her late husband's chair and leans back into it just to smell his cologne and feel him close. In the scene, Martin, her husband is sitting in the chair too and has his angel arms and wings surrounding her. He talks to her and tries to comfort his grieving wife.

Diana said that she lived that exact scene and when she read it on the pages of Angel On Board, she finally heard the words that her late husband had been trying to tell her for 15 years.

Diana's husband died in a small plane crash. Diana was supposed to have flown with him that day, but she didn't. He died and she didn't. She was secretly suffering from survivor's guilt and had been for 15 years, constantly asking the question, "Why did I live and he die?"

She got her answer that day and was able to release her guilt.

Quite simply, she went on because she still had work to do. And that was all she needed to understand.

Diana L. James' book series "Bounce Back" is well worth getting. Please let her story inspire you to find out more about her ministry and why she 'went on.' She bounced back from survivor's guilt. You can too.

Thanks, EJ
